A Simple Website Declutter Checklist

A gentle guide for faith-led businesswomen

Your website doesn’t need to do everything. It needs to do the right things, clearly and calmly.

Move through this slowly. You don’t need to change everything at once.

1. Clarity & Purpose

  • Can I clearly say what I do and who I serve in one sentence?

  • Is there one primary action I want visitors to take?

  • Does every main page support that action?

2. Pages & Structure

  • Are there pages I keep “just in case” that don’t serve a clear purpose?

  • Could any pages be combined or simplified?

  • Does my navigation feel calm and easy to follow?

3. Content & Messaging

  • Am I repeating myself more than necessary?

  • Am I explaining too much instead of guiding clearly?

  • Does my language sound confident — not apologetic or overly cautious?

4. Design & Visuals

  • Are fonts, colors, and spacing consistent throughout?

  • Do visuals support the message, not compete with it?

  • Is there enough white space for the content to breathe?

A Final Question

If someone visited my website for the first time, would it feel like an invitation — or a demand for attention?

Let your answer guide what stays, what gets refined, and what can be released.
